  Flickr
Flikcr is the best online photo management and share application in the world. It was created by Ludicrop in 2004 and then later acquired by Yahoo in 2005 User can share and embed personal photographs effectively. Photos and videos can be accessed from Flickr without the need to register an account but an account must be made in order to upload content onto the website. Registering an account also allows users to create a profile page containing photos and videos that the user has uploaded and also grants the ability to add another Flickr user as a contact. To have flickr account, users need to have yahoo account. Flickr offers three types of accounts: Free, Ad Free and Doublr. The free option includes one terabyte of storage limited to 200 MB per photo and 1 GB per video. The Ad Free option allows subscribers to avoid advertisements for an annual fee. As the name suggests, the Doublr account includes two terabytes of storage. Flickr used to offer two types of accounts, Free and Pro. Free accounts are limited in data storage, accessibility, and interaction. Pro accounts allow users to upload an unlimited number of images and videos every month and receive unlimited bandwidth and storage.

This service is owned and operated by Google Inc. It was founded on the year 2011. The headquarter is at Mountain View, California, U.S. User must have a Google account to use this social site. The features are

Hi5 is a social networking site based in San Francisco, California. It was founded in 2003. It provides common features such as friend networks, photo sharing, user groups, status update, play games and share interests. Since 2011, Hi5 shifted its focus to social gaming. It is the largest professional network where user can build their professional identity online and stay in touch with colleagues and classmates. It was founded in December 2002 and launched in May 5, 2003. It is online platform for people and organizations to create their own social network using tools and expertise given. It was founded in October 2004 and located at Palo Alto, California, United States. Features:
  1. Built-in email address to broadcast functionality for HTML newsletters
  2. Design studio helps user to use professional themes as it is or customize to create a look unique. Adding CSS, javascript, and creating custom page, develop own custom mobile apps are other functionality.
  3. Access to membership data: It gives tools to empower most active members by promoting them to moderator status-allowing them to be even more about members and what’s working in community.

It is owned by Google. Originally it was hosted at California. Later in August, 2008, Google announced that Orkut would be fully managed and operated by Google Brazil. The service is designed to help users meet new and old friends and maintain existing relationships. The website is named after its creator, Google employee Orkut Büyükkökten. Features:
  1. User can add photos, video, testimonials, birthdays, conversations and reminders.
  2. User can create community.
  3. User can fan of any friends in their list and can also evaluate whether their friend is "Trustworthy", "Cool", "Sexy" on a scale of 1 to 3 (marked by icons) and this is aggregated in terms of a percentage.
  4. Each member can also customize their profile preferences and can restrict information that appears on their profile from their friends and/or others (not on the friends list).
  5. User can add any other member on Orkut to his/her "Crush List" and both of them will be informed only when both parties have added each other to their "Crush List".

It is another photo management application, originally created by Lifescape in 2002 and later in 2004 google owned it. User can upload their photos from either online or desktop application. User need to have google account for using online version. Features:

It is world’s largest social travel network with over 100 million travelers have being used. It was founded on February 2000 and located at Newton, Massachusetts, United States. The main feature is easy access worldwide to leading online travel agencies. User can login with facebook account or can register. User can get information of Hotels, Flights, Vacation Rentals, Restaurants or travelling destination.

Twitter is a social networking and microbloging service which provides user to send and read text message of length 140 characters. This text is called “tweets”. It was founded in March 2006.
